A evolução das ideias dos alunos do 1.º e 2.º CEB sobre sementes e germinação com recurso a atividades laboratoriais

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio foi realizado no ano letivo 2015/2016, no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionado inserido no Mestrado no Ensino do 1.º e 2.º Ciclo Do Ensino Básico. Este projeto foi realizada com uma turma de 3.º ano do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico numa escola do distrito de Braga, e posteriormente, com uma turma do 6.º ano do 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico numa escola do mesmo distrito. As atividades implementadas no 1.º ciclo do ensino básico inserem-se no tópico “Os seres vivos do ambiente próximo” mais precisamente no Bloco 3- À descoberta do ambiente natural da área curricular de Estudo do Meio. No 2.º ciclo do ensino básico as atividades implementadas inserem-se no domínio “Transmissão da vida- reprodução de plantas” da área curricular de Ciências da Natureza. Este projeto tinha como estratégia pedagógica o levantamento das conceções prévias dos alunos sobre a temática a abordar, implementar atividades práticas e laboratoriais assim como outras atividades informativas de forma a contrastar as ideias prévias dos alunos e avaliar a evolução das mesmas ao longo das atividades implementadas. Assim, este projeto, em termos gerais, segue o modelo pedagógico de mudança conceptual. Com os resultados obtidos nas atividades implementadas, foi possível verificar que as ideias dos alunos resultaram em evoluções positivas e significativas que contribuíram para uma melhoria do conhecimento dos alunos.

The present report was written in the academic year of 2015/2016, included in the Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master’s Degree in Teaching of the 1st and 2nd Cycles of the Basic Education of the Portuguese Educational System. This project was carried out with a 3rd grade class from the 1st Cycle of Basic Education in the town, and later with a group of the 6th grade class of the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, at the school from the same town. The implemented activities in the 1st Cycle are integrated in the topic “Living beings in the environment nearby”, more specifically in the 3rd Block: Discovering the natural environment, from the school subject “Estudo do Meio” (Studies about our Environment). The implemented activities of the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education are part of the topic “Transmission of Life – plant reproduction” from the school subject “Ciências da Natureza” (Nature Sciences). The pedagogical strategy of this project intended the survey of the students’ prior conceptions about the addressed subjects, to implement practical, laboratorial, as well as informative activities in order to contrast their previous ideas and to evaluate the students’ evolution throughout the implemented activities. This way, this project follows in general terms the pedagogical model of conceptual change. With the obtained results from the implemented activities it was possible to measure and verify that the students’ ideas resulted in positive and significant evolutions, which contributed to an improvement of their knowledge.
