Uso das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação aplicadas ao ensino de Língua Inglesa: um estudo de caso em uma escola da rede pública de ensino em Tefé - Amazonas

Abstract

As Tecnologias Digitais da Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) estão presentes em nosso cotidiano e disponibilizam ferramentas que contribuem para o processo de ensino-aprendizagem nas diversas áreas da Educação. A aprendizagem de uma Língua Estrangeira apoiada pela tecnologia vem se mostrando uma forma eficaz de se aprender uma língua adicional, não só pelo fato de propagarem além das paredes da escola através da internet, de aplicativos, de smartphone e tablet, notebooks, redes sociais etc., mas como, também, pelo fato de a geração atual estar imersa nessa tecnologia. Este trabalho discute a importância do uso dessas tecnologias no ensinoaprendizagem de Língua Estrangeira, no caso o inglês. Mediante revisão bibliográfica e pesquisa de campo, fez-se uma explanação dando ênfase no porquê de sua utilização, baseada na problemática de se obter um processo de desenvolvimento cognitivo que seja dinâmico e desafiador aos aprendizes, explorando suas múltiplas competências. Nosso objetivo foi verificar a contribuição dessas ferramentas digitais na aprendizagem da Língua Inglesa para que se possa fornecer um panorama atual do uso das TDIC na aprendizagem do idioma inglês numa escola brasileira da rede pública de ensino, nas 1ª e 2ª séries de Ensino Médio. Com este trabalho pudemos verificar a importância das tecnologias como ferramentas pedagógicas e, ainda, a importância da formação continuada com estas ferramentas para o professor. Também constatamos que os docentes fazem uso das tecnologias disponíveis na escola, mas não o fazem de maneira significativa, não há um uso de forma efetiva e eficiente, notamos que eles utilizam principalmente o celular somente como um substituto ao dicionário tradicional para consulta, e não se preocupam em passar outros aplicativos para o uso significativo, ou outras maneiras de ensinar no ambiente escolar para que as aulas se tornem mais atrativas. Conforme os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais de Língua Estrangeira - PCNS, 1998 - o processo de aprendizado depende do convívio social, cultural, e histórico, desta forma, é preciso que o aluno tenha uma interação maior com professor através da incorporação do uso das TDIC na práxis pedagógica para que haja um uso significativo e que faça sentido tanto para o aluno quanto para o professor.

Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) are present in our daily lives and provide tools that contribute to the teaching-learning process in the various areas of Education. Learning a foreign language supported by technology is proving to be an effective way of learning an additional language, not only because it propagates beyond school walls through the internet, applications, smartphones and tablets, notebooks, social networks, etc. , but also because the current generation is immersed in this technology. This paper discusses the importance of the use of these technologies in the teaching and learning of Foreign Language, in the English case. Through a bibliographical review and field research, an explanation was made emphasizing the reason for its use, based on the problematic of obtaining a process of cognitive development that is dynamic and challenging to the learners, exploring their multiple competences. Our objective was to verify the contribution of these digital tools in the learning of the English Language in order to provide a current picture of the use of TDIC in English language learning in a Brazilian school in the public school system, in the 1st and 2nd grades of High School. With this work we were able to verify the importance of the technologies as pedagogical tools and also the importance of the continuous training with these tools for the teacher. We also found that teachers make use of the technologies available at school, but do not do it in a meaningful way, there is no use in an effective and efficient way, we note that they mainly use the cell phone only as a substitute for the traditional dictionary for consultation, they worry about passing on other applications for meaningful use, or other ways to teach in the school environment to make classes more attractive. According to the National Curriculum Parameters of Foreign Language - PCNS, 1998 - the learning process depends on social, cultural, and historical interaction, in this way, it is necessary that the student has a greater interaction with teacher through the incorporation of the use of TDIC in praxis so that there is meaningful use and that makes sense for both the student and the teacher.
