Associação de Gestão Agrícola do Alto Ave e os seus associados: caracterização, representação e expectativas

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo é perceber quais as características necessárias para a formação de representações sociais. Para tal, o estudo de caso foi desenvolvido numa Associação de Gestão Agrícola do Alto Ave, a GESTAVE, onde, junto dos seus associados, se pretende verificar quais as representações sociais que caracterizam esta Associação. Depois de realizados os inquéritos por questionário, não foi possível aprofundar os resultados obtidos através de entrevistas. Fazendo uma abordagem da matéria já existente sobre o tema das Representações Sociais, tendo por base os autores Moscovici, Jodelet, Doise e Abric, é possível caracterizar a GESTAVE em cinco representações sociais, das quais: “Associação que satisfaz as necessidades do agricultor”, “Associação que apoia nos projetos”, “Associação que representa o agricultor”, “Associação prestadora de serviços de contabilidade”, “Associação de quem os agricultores conhecem a finalidade”, “Associação que atende, ajuda e esclarece o agricultor” e “Associação que cria expectativas ao agricultor”. Posteriormente, foram criados um núcleo central e periferias, de modo a entender quais as mais partilhadas pelos associados da GESTAVE, e, é possível afirmar que o núcleo central tanto é partilhado por categorias positivas como negativas. Por último, é feita uma abordagem de modo a entender quais as necessidades sentidas pelos associados da GESTAVE ao exercerem a sua atividade.

The purpose of this study is to understand which characteristics are necessary for the formation of social representations. To this end, the case study was developed in an Association of Agricultural Management of Alto Ave, the GESTAVE, where, with its members, it is sought to verify which social representations characterize this Association. After conducting the questionnaire surveys, it was not possible to deepen the results obtained through interviews. Taking an approach to the already existing subject on the theme of Social Representations, based on the authors Moscovici, Jodelet, Doise and Abric, it is possible to characterize GESTAVE in five social representations, of which: "Association that satisfies farmer’s needs", "Association that supports projects", "Association that represents the farmer", "Association that provides accounting services", "Association of whom farmers know the purpose", "Association that assists, helps and clarifies the farmer" and "Association which creates expectations for the farmer". Subsequently, a central nucleus and peripheries were created, in order to understand which ones are most shared by GESTAVE members, and it is possible to affirm that the central nucleus is both shared by positive and negative categories. Lastly, an approach is taken to understand the needs felt by GESTAVE members when carrying out their activity.
