dc.description.abstractThe present work intends to evaluate the influence of the impregnation of different polymeric materials in the energy absorption of reinforced composites with three-dimensional auxetic meshes. In this sense, composites were developed with two different thermosetting polymeric matrices, namely polyurethane and epoxy resins, which were applied on one and both sides of the reinforcement mesh. As main results, it was concluded that the energy absorption of the developed composites increased, in comparison with the absorption energy of the auxetic mesh neat used as reinforcement. On the other hand, it was observed that the impregnation of the auxetic mesh on both sides with polyurethane presented higher energy absorption, in the order of 776 J.por
