A experiência pessoal e profissional
Globalmente o projeto apresentou resultados bastante visíveis no desempenho, qualidade,
autonomia e entusiasmo dos alunos intervenientes no estudo. This internship report describes the project of supervised pedagogical intervention developed in the Master's Degree in Music Education at the University of Minho. This project included a research component that targeted cooperative learning in the subject of Chamber Music, and also tried to contribute to the definition of pedagogical strategies for student cooperation. The lack of specific bibliography on pedagogical strategies for school Chamber Music drew attention to this topic. In my own experience as a student, teacher and professional flutist I found that there could be indeed an improvement in terms of cooperative learning, at the artistic and musical levels, as well as at the personal and social levels, in Chamber Music classes. Personal and professional experience indicated that this improvement could bring benefits in terms of personal satisfaction, but also in terms of interpretation and performance. The project was developed in Chamber Music classes of a 11th grade class of an official Conservatory of Music. The objectives of the pedagogical intervention were to stimulate students to develop musically in the context of ensemble practice, to develop group dynamics and cooperative learning modes, and to promote critical thinking and self-evaluation as well as personal and social development. In terms of research the goals were to register effective and ineffective behaviors, in order to promote former and avoid the latter, and in order to improve the mastery of pedagogical strategies of cooperation by the teacher. The data collection instruments used in the study were the pre-intervention observations, a post-intervention interview to the students and pre and post intervention registers. The results of the research project were very positive. Not only was it possible to confirm the advantages of reinforcing cooperative learning in Chamber Music classes, as opposed to traditional and directive teacher education, but it was also possible to organize and enumerate a set of cooperative pedagogical strategies for future teacher orientation. Overall, the project showed very clear results in the performance, quality, autonomy and enthusiasm of the students involved in the study. |
