Perguntar e procurar respostas: apoiando e desafiando a curiosidade das crianças

Abstract

O presente relatório expõe um projeto de intervenção pedagógica desenvolvido no âmbito do estágio do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, em valência de jardim de infância. Este projeto, intitulado “Perguntar e procurar respostas: apoiando e desafiando a curiosidade das crianças”, teve por base as observações e os registos elaborados sobre os interesses do grupo de crianças durante o período de observação do estágio e o diálogo com a educadora cooperante. Tendo como objetivo responder aos interesses e à curiosidade natural das crianças sobre o sistema solar, o projeto de intervenção teve um enfoque na Área do Conhecimento do Mundo, visando também a construção articulada de conhecimentos com outras áreas de conteúdo. As estratégias de intervenção pedagógica pretenderam favorecer aprendizagens integradas, envolvendo as crianças de forma significativa na discussão de hipóteses, na troca de conhecimentos e na partilha de opiniões, bem como, na reflexão sobre as experiências vividas ao longo da implementação do projeto de intervenção, com vista à construção de novos saberes. O projeto desenvolvido permite afirmar a importância da escuta dos interesses e das questões das crianças, bem como, o do papel do adulto como guia e recurso para o processo de construção do conhecimento das crianças, em idade pré-escolar.

This report presents a project of pedagogical intervention developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education, in kindergarten. This project, entitled "Asking for and finding answers: supporting and challenging children's curiosity", was based on observations and records drawn up on the interests of the group of children during the probationary period and dialogue with the cooperating educator. Aiming to respond to children's interests and natural curiosity about the solar system, the intervention project focused on the content area of Knowledge of the World, aiming at the articulated construction of knowledge with other areas of content. The pedagogical intervention strategies sought to favor integrated learning, involving children in a meaningful way in the discussion of hypotheses, in the exchange of knowledge and in the sharing of opinions, as well as in the reflection on the experiences lived during the implementation of the intervention project, with construction of new knowledge. The developed project allows us to affirm the importance of listening children's interests and questions, as well as the role of the adult as a guide and resource for the process of building children's knowledge at a preschool age.
