Narciso, o arquiteto do vazio

Abstract

Este trabalho procura compreender o mal-estar da atualidade em sua dimensão relacional e social a partir do narcisismo. Segundo a nossa abordagem, todos os indivíduos trazem dentro de si as marcas de um narcisismo primário advindo de uma fase remota do desenvolvimento psicoemocional que podem ser acionadas, retomadas e acentuadas em algumas configurações socioculturais. Uma vez regredido às partes narcísicas e insuflado o seu ideal, é almejado evitar todo o mau e corresponder ao ideal de perfeição que no limite visa excluir a morte. Todavia, quanto mais a morte e o mau são excluídos, mais eles atormentam e impregnam o viver, exigindo que todos os vértices em que o mau e a morte possam surgir sejam limados. Desta forma diversas facetas sociais como o trabalho, a sexualidade, a política e o conhecimento são destruídas ou desinvestidas, restando apenas um sistema de reprodução da imagem especular e familiar. Felizmente, apesar dos protestos de Narciso, o mau e a morte sempre vencem e, talvez em tempo, a revelação do princípio vital da desunião mediado por um objeto amoroso poderá ceifar os ideais narcísicos, remediar a pobreza existencial da atualidade e permitir o surgimento do outro, do afeto e do pensamento. Para embasar nossa reflexão, utilizamos múltiplos referenciais teóricos e diferentes abordagens metodológicas perpassando áreas como mitologia, psicanálise, economia, sociologia, estudos culturais, filosofia, estatísticas descritivas e análises qualitativas, sem mencionar o fértil exercício do pensamento especulativo e ensaístico, apesar dos protestos de nossa ciência narcísica e positivada.

The present work seeks to understand the current civilization´s discontents in its relational and social dimension starting from the perspective of narcissism. According to our approach, all individuals carry within themselves the marks of a primary narcissism arising from a remote phase of the psycho-emotional development that can be accessed, triggered and accentuated in some sociocultural settings. Once regressed to the narcissistic parts and its ideal inflated, the aim becomes to avoid evil and to correspond to the ideal of perfection that, at its limit, aims excluding death. However, the more death and evil are avoided, the more they torment and impregnate life, demanding that all the areas from which evil and death may arise have to be abandoned. In this way diverse social facets as work, sexuality, politics and knowledge are either destroyed or disinvested, leaving only a reflex system of reproduction of the familiar image. Fortunately, despite Narcissus's protests, evil and death always prevail, and perhaps in time, the revelation of the vital principle of disunion mediated by a loving object may mow narcissistic ideals, remedy the existential poverty of today and allow the emergence of affection and thought. To support our reasoning, we used multiple theoretical references and different methodological approaches ranging from mythology, psychoanalysis, economics, sociology, cultural studies, philosophy, descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis, not to mention the fertile exercise of speculative and essayistic thinking, despite the protests of our narcissistic and positive science.
