O Ensino/Aprendizagem da representação do espaço pela imagem e pela arte

Abstract

O trabalho aqui apresentado pretendeu verificar até que ponto é eficaz a utilização da imagem na abordagem de conteúdos como a representação, em superfícies planas, do espaço tridimensional. O estudo teve por base um documento específico elaborado para o ensino/aprendizagem da representação do espaço no 3° ciclo e por nós intitulado - "A Representação do Espaço na História da Arte ". O protótipo serve-se da imagem fixa (diapositivos), para fazer uma retrospectiva da utilização dos indicadores de profundidade e distância na pintura, desde a Pré-História até ao século XX. Ambicionou-se ajudar a contrariar a forma demasiado convencional, pouco dinâmica e descontextualizada como o conteúdo é normalmente abordado, e que é factor de algum desconforto por parte dos alunos. A P tarefa, de duas turmas do 3° ciclo (8° ano de escolaridade), compostas por 30 alunos cada e com idades compreendidas entre os 13 e os 17 anos, consistiu na realização de um registo gráfico por observação subordinado ao tema - "A escola". O registo tinha como única condicionante que duas vistas do edifício fossem observadas, e pretendeu analisar que indicadores de profundidade utilizam os alunos para representar o espaço tridimensional numa superfície bidimensional. Seguidamente o documento foi trabalhado por uma das turmas (grupo experimental), sendo o mesmo tema tratado pela outra (grupo de controlo), sem auxilio da imagem. Por último, urna 2a tarefa consistiu na repetição da 1' tarefa. Esta etapa do estudo permitiu verificar os indicadores utilizados e comparar os dados das duas tarefas. Os resultados obtidos permitem concluir que o documento, e urna abordagem pela imagem e pela arte, melhorou a qualidade das representações gráficas do espaço tridimensional em superfícies bidimensionais.

The present work is supposed to verify how far is effective the use of image m the approach of contents such as the representation on a flat surface of the three-dimensional space. The study was based upon a specific document made for the teaching of the space representation on the 8 grade and by us untitled: "The representation of space in Art History". The document uses the image (slides) to make a retrospective of the usage of depth and distant indicators in painting, since pre-historical times till the twentieth century. Our aim was to help reduce the too conventional, few dynamical and uncontextualized way that the content is usually approached, and which is a factor of some discomfort by the students. The first task of the two 8th grade classes, composed by 30 students each, with ages from 13 to 17 years old, was to make a graphical registration by observation under the subject "The school". In the registration the students had to draw to views of the building. We intended to analyse which depth indicators the students use to represent the three-dimensional space in a two-dimensional surface. Then, the document was showed to one of the classes (experimentional group), the same theme was taught in the other class (control group), without the image support. A second task consisted m the repetition of the first one. This stage of the study allowed us to verify the indicators used and compare the data of both tasks. The results let us conclude that the use of the document, and an approach by image and art, increased the quality of the graphic representations of three-dimensional space in bi-dimensional surfaces.
