Experiência de tradução na empresa Sintagma-Traduções

Abstract

Aqui será descrito o trabalho realizado durante o estágio para conclusão do Mestrado em Tradução e Comunicação Multilingue pela Universidade do Minho. Este estágio realizou-se na empresa Sintagma Traduções, Lda, sediada em Oeiras, Lisboa. A Sintagma Traduções, Lda. foi fundada em 1993 e com ela trabalham vários tradutores/legendadores freelancer e internos para a realização dos trabalhos. Este estágio teve uma duração de vinte e quatro semanas. A primeira semana teve lugar de 10 a 14 de Fevereiro e a última semana teve lugar de 4 a 8 de Agosto sendo ambas presenciais. As restantes semanas realizaram-se em regime não-presencial. Foram realizados no total vinte e sete projetos de tradução/legendagem de séries, programas gastronómicos e documentários. A Sintagma, disponibilizou todo o material necessário para a realização dos trabalhos pedidos no decorrer do estágio. Para o trabalho de legendagem era utilizado o programa SPOT que será apresentado ao longo deste relatório.

Here we will describe the work that was developed during the internship tooked in order to be able to finish a masters in Translation and Multilinguam Communication at the University of Minho. This internship was taken at the company Sintagma Traduções, Lda, in Oeiras, Lisbon. The Sintagma Traduções, Lda. was created in 1993 and has the collaboration of various freelancer and internal translators. This internship lasted for twenty-four weeks. The first week lasted from 4th to 8th February and the last one lasted from 4th to 8th August. Both weeks were spent at the company and during the others, the work was done in a non-presential way. I did twenty-seven projects as a translator/subtitler of TV series, gastronomic TV shows and documentaries. The company offered all the necessary material for the execution of the work. For subtitling, we worked with SPOT software that will be presented during this review.
