Repertório multi-estilístico para guitarra clássica no ensino especializado da música: consequências da sua inclusão

Abstract

O relatório de estágio, apresentado no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino de Música, pretende efetuar um estudo de caso múltiplo que consiste na utilização de repertório tradicional e repertório moderno de inspiração popular no ensino da guitarra clássica, tendo em conta a sua influência no meio escolar. Este projeto tem como primeiro objetivo confrontar os alunos com obras eruditas do repertório guitarrístico e com peças modernas de estilos mais populares, para investigar se existem diferenças no processo de aprendizagem dos alunos graças ao uso destas últimas, não integradas normalmente nos programas escolares. A música, como arte e entretenimento, sofreu profundas mudanças nos últimos 100 anos, surgindo novos estilos musicais, novos conceitos e transformações em todas as classes sociais, que tiveram grande repercussão no consumo da cultura musical. O ensino artístico em Portugal desenvolveu-se no meio de todas estas alterações, dando origem a preferências musicais dos alunos que normalmente não são abordadas nas escolas de ensino oficial de música. Ao mesmo tempo, professores e investigadores debruçam-se sobre esta problemática e sobre as vantagens da utilização de um programa de guitarra multi-estilístico mais próximo do gosto dos alunos. Achamos que os resultados do presente estudo, que considera os hábitos culturais, bem como a vida social dos próprios discentes e encarregados de educação, poderão ser mais um contributo para esclarecer se certo tipo de repertório pode promover a motivação nos alunos.

The internship report submitted under the Master Music Education aims to conduct a multiple case study which consists in the use of traditional repertoire and modern repertoire of popular inspiration in classical guitar teaching, taking into account their influence at school. This project aims primarily to confront students with scholarly works of the guitar repertoire and modern pieces of popular styles, to investigate whether there are differences in their learning processes through the use of the latter, not usually integrated in the schools curricula. Music, as art and entertainment, as suffered profound changes in the last 100 years, emerging new musical styles, new concepts and transformations in all social stratums that originated a great impact on the consumption of musical culture. The artistic music education in Portugal as developed itself during all these changes, giving rise to musical preferences of students which normally are not addressed in official music schools. At the same time, teachers and researchers start debating on this issue and about the advantages of using a multi-stylistic guitar program closest to the student’s musical preferences. We think the results of this study, which considers the cultural habits and social life of their own students and parents, will be a further contribution to clarify whether certain type of repertoire can promote motivation in students.
