pós-teste e follow up. Foi constituído um grupo experimental (G.E.) (n=272) e um grupo
de controlo (G.C.) (n=77).
The phenomena related to online aggression, including cyberstalking have proved to prevail among the young adult population. However, adolescents are of the main vulnerable groups to online victimization. This study is an attempt to assess the effectiveness of an awareness action on the online aggression among adolescents (12-17 years old) in three moments: pretest, post-test and follow up. An experimental group (GE) (n=272) and control group (GC) (n=77) were created. Altogether, fourteen awareness were implemented in three schools in northern Portugal. The results indicated not only that the awareness action was effective but they also showed that G.E. had a gradual evolution in terms of knowledge and skills during three assessment moments when compared to G.C.. Both groups supported some adjusted beliefs and others tend erroneous beliefs about the phenomenon of online aggression. These results emphasize the need to develop a more sustainable investment in the long run because changes at this level require more time for discussion and demystification of erroneous beliefs. |
