Resumo(s): | Intensive care units are critical environments where the decisions need to be performed promptly and accurately. In order to help decision makers, a Pervasive Intelligent Decision Support System (PIDSS) was developed. This PIDSS presents anywhere and anytime knowledge essential to support the decision making process. It is a common sense that the success of a system is depends on the users’ acceptance. Questioning them during the test phase about the system features and their satisfaction is an important task to assure future adoption. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used in this research. TAM permits a deeper comprehension of the user intention / behaviour, taking into consideration four constructs: Perceived Ease of USE (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Behaviour Intention (BI) and Use Behaviour (UB). This work explores the effectiveness of TAM3 constructs when adopting PIDSS in intensive care units. |
