Qual a contribuição
This project was integrated within the professional training course in the 2nd grade leading to a master's degree in the teaching of mathematics in the 3rd cycle of basic education and secondary education, was held within the classroom of Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences of the eleventh year of secondary school, of the science course – Humanistic Social Sciences and Humanities, of guide cooperative professor of the course where the student with profound visual impairment was integrated. Hence have resulted this study theme. This study had as main objective to identify the barriers the student with visual disabilities face and promote their inclusion in a math class, creating access opportunities of participation in the teaching-learning process. It is an interpretive approach, concretized through the case study of a student with visual impairment and seeks to answer to the following questions: What difficulties has the student in developing values/ attitudes, abilities/skills and knowledge? How does the student passes their mathematical ideas to colleagues and teachers? What is the contribution of the different materials and didactic resources in the development and inclusion of the student in the classroom? The study was based on the analysis: of the School Education Project; of the class dossier; of the visual impairment student's Individual Education Program; of the records written by the student in her diary concerning the tasks and their reflections in the diary; field notes recorded by the researcher in his diary; from documents wich thereby made from transcripts of performed semistructured interviews, the Special Education teacher of the student, the MACS’s teacher and the own student. This study identifies a set of difficulties wich the student with visual impairment revealed in math class and offers some ways to exceed them. It was concluded that in order to face these difficulties it reveals essential: the diversity of proposed tasks, the adequacy of didatic materials used by the student, the development of communication and interaction between student-teacher and student-colleagues. |
