Formas de ler o mundo : o papel da biblioteca na educação dos adultos

Abstract

O relatório apresentado é o resultado do Estágio Profissional referente ao Mestrado em Educação, área de especialização em Educação de Adultos e Intervenção Comunitária. Este projeto desenvolveu-se na Biblioteca Municipal de Barcelos, especialmente na Sala de Leitura de Adultos, tendo como destinatários os adultos seniores que passam ali grande parte do seu tempo. Numa perspetiva de educação ao longo de toda a vida e do desenvolvimento sociocultural, considera-se oportuno oferecer aos adultos seniores que dispõem de todo o tempo livre, que este seja vivido de uma forma mais prazerosa, com uma maior oportunidade de uma aquisição contínua de cultura e que, sobretudo, continue a aprimorar o gosto pela leitura nos seus mais diversos âmbitos. Tendo como objetivo reafirmar “o papel da biblioteca na educação dos adultos”, toda a intervenção se desenvolveu através das mais variadas formas de leitura, trazendo motivação e empenho para dar mais sentido à ocupação dos tempos livres.

The submitted report is the result of a Professional Internship integrated on the Education Master’s degree specialized on Adult Education and the Community Intervention. This Project was developed at Barcelos Municipal Library manly at the Adult Reading Hall, having as main target senior adults who spend most part of their time at the library. Based on a long life education perspective and the socialcultural development, it’s opportune to offer to senior adults, whom are consider to have all the free time, the chance that their leisure might be lived on a more pleasure way, and with the development and the continuance improvement of culture and mostly an opportunity of acquiring the taste of reading on the most diverse areas. Having the objective of reaffirming “the roll of the library on adult’s education”, all the interventions had been developed by varied forms of reading, bringing effort and motivation, in order to give meaning to leisure occupation.
