Identificação de indicadores chave de desempenho em Sistemas de Gestão de Performance e construção de um dashboard

Abstract

O projeto teve como principal objetivo a identificação de Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) para Sistemas de Gestão de Performance (SGP) e de impacto na organização ao nível dos seus colaboradores, assim como a elaboração de um dashboard de monotorização de KPIs. O recurso a KPIs é uma prática cada vez mais utilizada pelos gestores de topo devido à capacidade de sintetização de um conjunto de informação complexa. Os indicadores que inicialmente apenas eram utilizados numa vertente económica, tomam assim outra dimensão no apoio à tomada de decisão baseada em dados. Num cenário em que competitividade global é cada vez mais exigente e após identificada a necessidade por parte das organizações em monitorizar o seu desempenho de forma sustentada e eficiente, faz da seleção de KPIs um dos maiores desafios que estas têm de enfrentar. O trabalho desenvolvido baseou-se no estudo dos SGP utilizados pela empresa com o intuito de identificar indicadores chave que ajudem os seus responsáveis a monitorizar o impacto destes processos no sucesso da organização. O projeto foi dividido em quatros fases distintas. Na primeira fase do projeto foi feito um estudo exaustivo aos SGP com o objetivo de compreender todos os processos inerentes à sua aplicação. Na segunda fase foram desenhados os fluxos destes processos com recurso à Business Process Modeling Language (BPML), linguagem utilizada em Business Process Modeling (BPM) com vista à representação de processos para uma melhor análise. Seguiu-se a identificação de indicadores para monitorização dos processos e indicadores que monitorizem o impacto dos SGP na organização ao nível dos seus colaboradores. Na última fase do projeto foi construído um dashboard de monitorização de indicadores com o auxílio da ferramenta Microsoft Excel. Tendo em conta todo o trabalho desenvolvido e os resultados obtidos, pode considerar-se que os principais objetivos do projeto foram alcançados. Foi possível identificar os indicadores pretendidos apesar de não ter sido possível definir objetivos para a totalidade, verificando-se ainda alguma dificuldade na obtenção de dados a nível informático. A construção do dashboard foi elaborada de acordo com os parâmetros estabelecidos.

The project is aimed to identify the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Performance Management Systems (PMS) and impact indicators on the organization as well as the development of a dashboard to monitor the KPIs. The use of KPI as a practice is increasingly used by top management due to the ability of synthesizing a set of complex information. The indicators that were used initially in the economic aspect, take another dimension in supporting decision making based on data. In a scenario where global competitiveness is increasingly demanding and the need for organizations to monitor their performance in a sustainable and efficient way, makes the selection of KPIs one of the biggest challenges that they have to face. The work was based on the study of PMS used by the company in order to identify key indicators that help those responsible to monitor the impact of these processes in the success of the organization. The project was divided into four different phases. In the first a comprehensive study about PMS was carried out in order to understand the procedures involved in their application. In the second phase, flows of these processes were designed using the Business Process Modeling Language (BPML), language used in Business Process Modeling (BPM) for the representation of processes for better analysis. This was followed by the identification of indicators for monitoring the processes and indicators to monitor the impact of PMS in the organization. In the last phase of the project, a Dashboard was built to monitor indicators with the help of Microsoft Excel tool. Taking into account all the work and the results obtained, it can be assumed that the main goals of the project were achieved. It was possible to identify indicators despite not having been able to set goals for all and there is still some difficulty in obtaining data. The construction of the dashboard was prepared in accordance with the parameters established.
