Carbon nanomaterial based multi-scale composites

Abstract

Multi-scale composites have been developed recently combining conventional high performance composite materials with various functional nanomaterials in order to overcome the drawbacks of existing composites as well as to add multi-functional properties. This paper presents a state of the art review of the recent literature on the carbon nanomaterial based multi-scale composites. The development, properties and applications of this novel class of composites have been discussed.
