Low energy rehabilitation

Abstract

The main goal of this study is the development of rehabilitation systems for residential buildings, following a whole building approach and assuring an efficient construction process in terms of time and cost. The developed systems must be in accordance with the new thermal regulations, based on the EPBD. In order to develop efficient solutions it is essential to carry out studies to characterize the building stock and identify the most common pathologies. At the moment, it has been selected a sample of buildings, representative of the Portuguese building stock, to be characterized in terms of performance and pathologies and it has been chosen a single family house to become a test building where the developed systems will be tested.
