Escola a Tempo Inteiro.
This research intends to analyze the impact of Full Time School in the forms of organizational and curricular management. Thus, we try to understand whether this new Full Time School management on Primary Schools imposes any significant implications in the construction of an integrated curricular project, in which the learning process should be structured and built based on the adequacy and coherence that these phase group students demand. This is a multiple case study, based on a qualitative methodology, through which one seeks to understand some aspects that interact in the operationalization of the Full Time School. The study took place in two Vertical School Groups and the methods used in data collection were document analysis, the semi-structured interview and questionnaires. Once the collected data had been processed and carefully analyzed, it was possible to draw some conclusions, which shown the existence of a set of constraints regarding the school’s organization and, most specifically, the curricular development, this is seen as a consequence of the implementation of Curricular Enrichment Activities into the concept of “Full Time School”. The result of this research project contributes to the analysis of a deeper problem, and for its relevance, leaves an open path for future investigations. |
