Abstract

Neste artigo o autor analisa a relação entre o poder imperial e a importância da rede viária. Os miliários, com as suas inscrições, expressam o profundo relacionamento entre as populações indígenas e o imperador, o interesse deste pela manutenção da via e a devoção dos populi ao soberano.

The paper analyses the relationship between the imperial power and the indigenous populations. The milestones, with their inscriptions, means the growing level of romanization in a country located at the middle of large mountains and far from Rome.
