Representatividade e diversidade da comunidade LGBTI+: a construção discursiva das colunas opinativas na Folha de S. Paulo e na Mídia Ninja

Abstract

A presente pesquisa analisa como a comunidade LGBTI+ é representada nas colunas opinativas da Folha de S. Paulo e da Mídia Ninja. Para isso, foram selecionados colunistas desses dois grupos de mídia que trabalham com a temática LGBTI+, para responder ‘se’ e ‘como’ as narrativas produzidas por essas colunas, colaboram para um espaço plural de representações sociais da comunidade LGBTI+? Além disso, pretende-se com a tese, refletir sobre a participação da comunidade LGBTI+ na conquista de espaços de representação na mídia brasileira; Compreender a importância da comunicação na construção de narrativas que valorizam a representação da comunidade LGTBI+; Contextualizar a Folha de S. Paulo e a Mídia Ninja no cenário jornalístico brasileiro; E, mostrar como as narrativas opinativas podem ser um espaço plural de representações sociais e construção de identidades. Para alcançar esses objetivos, foi adotada a Análise Crítica do Discurso (ACD), tendo como base autores como Charaudeau (2008), Carvalho (2015) e Van Dijk (2008; 2017), para analisar os elementos do texto e do contexto das colunas da Folha de S. Paulo e da Mídia Ninja, refletindo sobre os sentidos interpretativos provocados por elas, bem como, refletir sobre a importância da construção dessa opinião e as influências de poder no discurso midiático. Ao longo da tese falamos sobre características e lutas importantes da comunidade LGBTI+, a importância da participação e da representação na mídia, a contribuição da comunicação transmissiva e ritualística para a construção de histórias e os impactos no mercado da indústria midiática. Buscamos entender os papéis que o jornalismo tem ocupado na construção da sociedade brasileira e sua relação com os consumidores e consumidoras, além de investigar a produção de narrativas híbridas, na busca por compreender como o discurso opinativo é desenvolvido, envolvendo a racionalidade e o conhecimento do jornalista, e a expertise e a subjetividade do especialista, na busca por promover uma maior representação e visibilidade. Representação que está sendo construída pelo jornalismo opinativo, mas que ainda precisa ser estruturada e ampliada por esses dois grupos de mídia.

This research analyzes how the LGBTI+ community is represented in the opinionated columns of Folha de S. Paulo and Mídia Ninja. In this regard, columnists from these two media groups, working with the LGBTI+ to answer ‘if’ and ‘how’ do the narratives produced by these columns contribute to a plural space of social representations of the LGBTI+ community? Besides that, the thesis aims to reflect on the participation of the LGBTI+ community in the conquest of spaces of representation in the Brazilian media; Understand the importance of communication in the narrative’s construction that valorizes the LGTBI+ community representation; Contextualize Folha de S. Paulo and Mídia Ninja in the Brazilian journalistic scenario; And show how opinionated narratives might be a plural space of social representations and identity constructions. To reach these goals, the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) was adopted based on authors such as Charaudeau (2008), Carvalho (2015), and Van Dijk (2008; 2017), to analyze the text elements and the columns’ context of Folha de S. Paulo and Mídia Ninja, reflecting on the interpretative meanings caused by them, as well as on the importance of forming this opinion and the influences of power in the media discourse. Throughout the thesis, we approach important characteristics and fights of the LGBTI+ community, the importance of participation and representation in society and media, the contribution of transmissive and ritualistic communication to the construction of stories, and the impacts on the media industry market, seeking to understand the roles that journalism has occupied in the Brazilian society construction and its relationship with consumers, besides investigating the production of hybrid narratives, looking for understanding how the opinionated discourse is developed, involving the journalist's rationality and knowledge and the specialist's expertise and subjectivity, in the search to promote greater representation and visibility. Reprresentation that is being built opinionated journalism, but that still needs to be structured and expanded bu these two media groups.
