Afinação: estratégias para a obtenção de melhores resultados no estudo do fagote

Abstract

O presente relatório visa refletir todo o trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do estágio profissional, constituinte do Mestrado em Ensino de Música do Instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho, no ano letivo de 2018/2019. Do ponto de vista pedagógico e investigativo, o principal objetivo deste projeto foi dar aos alunos de fagote novas ferramentas para melhorarem a sua afinação através de diferentes estratégias que contribuíssem para esta finalidade e, assim, obterem melhores resultados na prática do fagote. A intervenção foi realizada em 3 alunos de diferentes ciclos de estudo, com distintas características técnicas e interpretativas, ao mesmo tempo que com hábitos de estudo e métodos de trabalho diferentes. Paralelamente à fase interventiva, foram desenvolvidos dois inquéritos nacionais a alunos e professores, com o objetivo de entender a importância que era atribuída à afinação nas aulas e no estudo individual, e quais seriam os métodos de trabalho da afinação mais usados por outros professores. Assim, os dados foram recolhidos através dos inquéritos realizados a alunos e a professores nacionais, da observação direta das aulas, e das aulas ministradas durante a nossa intervenção. Segundo os dados obtidos referidos e, também graças à pesquisa bibliográfica, podemos salientar que a afinação é um dos aspetos que mais é tido em conta nas performances dos alunos de fagote. Aliás, muitos professores afirmam que as características sonoras e técnicas são os fatores mais decisivos nas avaliações dos alunos. A primeira fase da intervenção focou-se no levantamento de dados e na explicação do projeto aos alunos. A seguir, trabalharam-se as estratégias que foram previamente selecionadas consoante as capacidades de cada aluno visando sempre o objetivo específico: os alunos de fagote melhorarem a sua afinação. Embora os alunos tivessem a oportunidade de conhecer um maior número de estratégias para melhorar a sua afinação do ponto de vista prático, os alunos participantes na intervenção não melhoraram a afinação significativamente, o que atribuímos ao curto período de intervenção, visto que a afinação é capaz de ser influenciada por inúmeros fatores que realmente a condicionam. Com base na análise de respostas dos questionários e na observação das aulas onde foi realizada a intervenção, podemos concluir que a afinação pode ser considerada como uma aptidão artística que é capaz de ser desenvolvida com trabalho constante, durante períodos de tempo relativamente longos.

The following work reflects all the work developed during the professional internship, part of the Master’s Degree of Music Teaching at the “Instituto de Educação” from” Universidade do Minho”, academic year 2018/2019. From a pedagogical and a research point of view, the main goal from this project was to give to the bassoon students new tools and ideas in how to improve their intonation through different approaches, leading latter into better results when performing and playing the bassoon. This intervention was made to 3 students from different studying cycles, with musical and technical differences. Although all of them studied with the same teacher, they all have different studying habits and methodology. In parallel to this first intervention, a national survey to teacher and students were done, mainly with the goal to understand the importance that the intonation has during the lessons and the individual practice, and which methods were used the most to help solve this issue. All the data was collected, analysed and complemented with the observation of the lessons and the ones given during our intervention in lessons. According to the obtained data and to the research that was done, it can be highlighted that the intonation is one of the most important aspects during student's performances. Most teachers affirmed that the technical and musical abilities are the most important factors when evaluating a student. The first step of this intervention is focused mainly in the recompilation of data and explaining the students how the project was organised. After this, we worked on strategies that were individually chosen concerning each students' abilities but having always in mind our main goal: that the students could reach a better and more efficient intonation on the bassoon. Although the students had the opportunity to learn different approaches and strategies to improve the intonation, the results weren't as good as expected. We associate these results to the small intervention period, since improving the tuning in such instrument as the bassoon takes lots of time and work, mostly because it is extremely influenced by external factors. Having the data of the surveys and the observation of the lessons as the most important part of this research, we can conclude than the intonation can be considered as an artistic ability and that it can be developed through constant work and practice during a long period of time.
