Prática de tradução Chinês-Português na empresa Portal Martim Moniz

Abstract

O presente relatório tem como foco o estágio curricular realizado na empresa Portal Martim Moniz (PTMM), no âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos Interculturais Português/Chinês: Formação, Tradução e Comunicação Empresarial da Universidade do Minho. O relatório está dividido em três Capítulos. No primeiro capítulo é feita a apresentação da empresa e dos centros que a compõem, seguido da descrição das tarefas desempenhadas e da metodologia utilizada durante o estágio. No segundo capítulo é introduzido o tema da “tradução”, onde se explica o seu significado e importância, seguido da listagem e exemplificação das estratégias de tradução usadas durante o estágio. Aborda.se ainda o tema do “tradutor” e as competências que este necessita para a tradução. O terceiro capítulo faz uma exposição das traduções feitas durante o estágio, incluindo as características de cada texto e as dificuldades encontradas no processo tradutivo.

This report focuses on the curriculum internship at the company Portal Martim Moniz, within the framework of the Master's Degree in Portuguese / Chinese Intercultural Studies: Training, Translation and Business Communication at the University of Minho. The report is separated into three parts. The first chapter presents the company and its centers, folowed by the description of the tasks performed and the methodology used. The second chapter explains what is translation and its importance, it also explains and exemplifies the most commonly used strategies of translation during the internship and touches on the meaning of the “translator” and his competencies. The third chapter gives an overview over the translation works made during the internship, with the description of the type of texts and the difficulties encountered.
