Atividade eletrodérmica da díade terapêutica durante acontecimentos identificados como significativos em psicoterapia

Abstract

A presente dissertação teve como objetivo o estudo da atividade eletrodérmica dos elementos da díade terapêutica durante os acontecimentos significativos identificados no decorrer do processo terapêutico. Pretendemos compreender como se comporta a atividade eletrodérmica da díade terapêutica no decorrer dos acontecimentos significativos, nomeadamente verificar a existência de sincronia psicofisiológica. Tendo como questão de investigação “Como se relaciona a atividade eletrodérmica do cliente e do terapeuta nos acontecimentos significativos identificados pela díade comparativamente a acontecimentos significativos identificados por apenas um elemento da díade?” No estudo foram identificados um total de 63 acontecimentos significativos. Sendo analisada a atividade eletrodérmica dos terapeutas e dos clientes apenas nos intervalos de tempo referentes a esses acontecimentos significativos. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram variabilidade relativamente à atividade eletrodérmica da díade terapêutica no decorrer dos acontecimentos significativos. Observaram-se ainda correlações positivas estatisticamente significativas entre a atividade eletrodérmica das díades terapêuticas em 75% dos acontecimentos significativos identificados. Nos acontecimentos significativos identificados pelos terapeutas verificou-se a maior percentagem de ocorrência de correlações positivas estatisticamente significativas, seguida dos acontecimentos significativos identificados pela díade e por fim os acontecimentos significativos identificados pelos clientes. Pela interpretação dos resultados concluimos que globalmente, durante os acontecimentos significativos ocorreu sincronia psicofisiológica entre a díade terapêutica.

The present thesis aimed to study the electrodermal activity of the elements in the therapeutic dyad during the significant events identified throughout the therapeutic process. We intend to comprehend how the electrodermal activity of the therapeutic dyad behaves during significant events, namely to verify the existence of psychophysiological synchrony. Having as a research question "How does the client and therapist electrodermal activity relates to the significant events identified by the dyad compared to significant events identified by only one element of the dyad?". There were a total of 63 significant events identified in this study. Being only analysed the electrodermal activity of the therapist and client in the time frames related to those significant events. The results obtained evidenced variability regarding the electrodermal activity of the therapeutic dyad throughout the significant events. It was also observed statistically significant positive correlations between the electrodermal activity of the therapeutic dyads in 75% of the significant events identified. In the significant events identified solely by the therapists it was verified the highest percentage of occurrence of statistically significant positive correlation, followed by the significant events identified by the dyad and finally, the significant events identified by the clients. Through the interpretation of the results, we concluded that globally during the significant events, psychophysiological synchrony occurs between the therapeutic dyad.
