teorias. The selection of the theme was based on two main assumptions: allowing a more extensive work in order to respond to the needs of the target group of the research action and to find, for both students and trainee teacher, a constant challenge. After observing the context it was concluded that the topic should aim at writing skills, since the intervention group showed lack of confidence in writing in the studied foreign language ( the group it was in the 10 grade and was learning Spanish for the first time which, according to the CEFR, would achieve the B2 level of language learning). Further studies quickly led to the understanding that writing should be allied to socially valued motivational strategies. It was thus that the theme of this work was found: creativity, collaborative writing and motivation in the writing skills of a foreign language. To learn about the definition of motivation, proposals, strategies and methodologies, studies were undertaken into what Psychology of Education stated about this subject. Several schools of thought on the subject were found, providing studies and proposals, enriching it. It was also found that Creativity is recognized as an intrinsic motivational element as is collaborative work, given that both allow for the cognitive and social development of the student, because they involve actions such as the expression and reformulation of ideas, empathy and the ability to be a good listener. Thus, based on this knowledge, we proceeded to organize the student centered action; teaching materials were selected/built and adapted and timings and assessment tools were established (diagnostic, self-regulation and evaluation). Conclusions proved that writing is developed using both creativity and collaborative work, since both serve as motivation for it and are perceived as significant tools for its acquisition and development. Therefore, it seemed important and relevant for the work as a teacher of Portuguese and Spanish to explore this topic and to develop it in this study, thus contributing to the continued growth of the trainee teacher, by updating the methodologies, the strategies and the theories. |
