Resumo(s): | After a century marked by the prominence of the state organization, distribution and regulation of education, particularly with the implementation and consolidation of obligatory education, the profound changes that have permeated society contributed to challenge the current state monopoly in terms of public education and the coming of new forms and local schooling. In this process, new technologies have had a key role, allowing to break the physical boundaries and structural taxes for schools. Based on the mapping of relations established between the private sphere - home schooling - and the public sphere - education in institutions – and analysis of the possibilities of these spaces coexist in society, central aim of this paper is to discuss the importance of this educational phenomenon, in particular about the progressive tendencies of learning outside educational institutions and the contributions that the new technologies can offer in this process. |
