Por uma alternativa ao construtivismo social e ao determinismo técnico: a perspectiva de Lebeau e Simondon

Abstract

Com o surgimento dos humanos, as ligações técnicas tornaram-se muito mais complexas. Contudo, o pensamento ocidental, devido à relativa simplicidade dos artefactos técnicos, encarou-os durante muito tempo de uma forma instrumental. Com as recentes “tecnologias de informação e comunicação”, começa a emergir um novo paradigma que coloca em evidência os limites do pensamento tradicional propondo uma nova forma de encarar a fronteira entre entre o humano e o objecto técnico. O filósofo e sociólogo Gilbert Simondon e o geofísico Lebeau apoiam-se nessa hipótese sugerindo uma visão alternativa ao construtivismo social e ao determinismo técnico. O conceito de forma, surgido com a nova física, pode ser usado para pensar os fenómenos em que interage o orgânico (e nomeadamente o humano) e a matéria inorgânica organizada – os artefactos técnicos. A partir daí, emergem três conclusões: a técnica surge como anterior ao ser humano, a técnica como não sendo produto de uma intenção humana e a informação passa a ser concebida como estando presente em todos os artefactos técnicos.

With the sprouting of the human beings, the technical links had become much more complex. However, the contemporary thinking, due to relative simplicity of the technical artefacts, analyse them as an instrumental form. With the recent "technologies of information and communication", emerges a new paradigm that emphasizes the limits of the traditional thinking considering the existence of a problematic border between the animal and the non-animal and then between the human being and the technical being. The philosopher and sociologist Gilbert Simondon and the geophysicist André Lebeau work on this hypothesis. The concept of form, developed by the new physics, can be used to think the ways the organic (and also the human being) interacts with the inorganic substance organized – the technical artefacts. Therefore, technique appears as something prior to the beginning of humans, not a product of an intention, and information is conceived as present in all technical artefacts.
