Abstract(s)[Excerpt] Ginkgolic acids (GAs) are phenolic acids (6-alkyl or 6-alkenyl derivatives of salicylic acid), possessing long side chains of 13-17 carbon atoms and 0-2 double bonds, that have been identified in fruit, exotesta, and leaves of Ginkgo biloba L. They display several favorably effects, such as anti-cancer, anti-parasitism, anti-bacterial, molluscicidal and tyrosinase inhibitory activities [1-5]. [...]
