Experiência de voluntariado numa ONG internacional: a crise de refugiados

Abstract

Um dos maiores problemas do século XXI tem vindo a desenvolver-se rapidamente e com grandes consequências para todos os que são afetados por ele. A crise dos refugiados vem assolando os países do Médio Oriente e arrastando o problema para a Europa, onde os refugiados procuram um novo abrigo /asilo. A guerra no Médio Oriente tem crescido nos últimos anos com vários conflitos em várias áreas e os números foram cada vez mais significativos: número de pessoas que deixam seus países, número de pessoas que buscam asilo, número de pessoas que morrem nos mares e nas jornadas para novos países, número de países que negam entrada, o número de protocolos quebrado, etc. Este relatório é feito para tentar entender o papel das organizações não governamentais junto dos refugiados, principalmente a CVS-Bulgaria, onde eu tive a oportunidade de fazer o meu estágio. Procurei compreender o modo como a organização interage com os refugiados, seu objetivo e metas, a maneira como lidam com essas pessoas e o que tenta fazer por elas. Por outro lado, analisei as políticas que a União Europeia está a implementar para combater o problema e os seus resultados. Neste seguimento, abordei tudo o que dizia respeito aos refugiados no lugar que estive, Sofia, Bulgária enquanto país de trânsito usado para atravessar para outros países por esses aspirantes de asilo: leis, restrições e problemas inerentes.

One of the biggest problems of 21st century has been developing rapidly and with big consequences to all the ones who are affected by it. The Refugee Crisis has been destroying the countries of the middle east and dragging the problem into Europe, where the Refugees seek for a new shelter/ asylum. The war in the middle east has been growing in the last few years with several conflicts in several areas, and numbers have just been higher and higher: number of people leaving their countries, number of people seeking asylum, number of people dying in the seas and on their ways to new countries, number of countries denying entrance, number of protocols being broken etc. This report is made to try to understand the role of Non Governmental organizations in the subject, mainly CVS-Bulgaria, where I had the opportunity to do my internship. We will try to deduct the way it interacts with refugees, its aim and goals, the way they deal with these people and what they try to do for them/help them with. On the other hand, to analyze the policies that the European Union is providing to fight the problem and its results. Also, everything that concerns the Refugees in the place I am, Sofia Bulgaria, as it is a way of crossing to other countries by these asylum seekers: it´s laws, restrictions and problems attached.
