Semear para educar

Abstract

O presente relatório reporta-se a uma investigação/intervenção efetuada no âmbito de um estágio profissionalizante, referente ao Mestrado em Educação de Adultos e Intervenção Comunitária. O relatório apresenta o processo de conceção, planificação, execução e avaliação do projeto “Semear para Educar” que decorreu na Horta Comunitária do Centro Comunitário da Vila de Prado, tendo como público-alvo os adultos da “Horta do Saber” que tinham sido contratados pela Câmara Municipal de Vila Verde. Grande parte deste grupo era de etnia cigana e, em geral, todos sofriam de exclusão social por motivos diversificados. Este projeto teve como principais objetivos a promoção da Educação ao Longo da Vida e o aumento da autoestima deste público. A Educação de Adultos é uma necessidade na sociedade de hoje, uma vez que se encontra em constante mutação. Face às exigências da sociedade atual, as populações precisam de encontrar respostas, sob pena de exclusão social A Educação ao Longo da Vida pode acontecer tanto dentro como fora do sistema educativo formal, podendo ocorrer na escola, em contexto familiar ou até em comunidade. O projeto uniu a Educação de Adultos à Intervenção Comunitária, situando-se metodologicamente na investigação-ação-participativa, uma vez que se apostou, desde o primeiro instante, na transformação participada dos adultos, respeitando sempre a sua dimensão pessoal, bem como a sua dimensão comunitária. A “Horta do Saber” tenta utilizar o trabalho como ferramenta de integração, tendo sempre uma equipa multidisciplinar que trabalha as várias dimensões do ser Humano.

His report refers to a research-intervention carried out during the professional practice included in my Master in Adult Education and Community Intervention. The report mentions the process of conception, planning, implementation and evaluation of the project “Sow to Educate”, which was developed in the community Centre of the town of Prado, targeted on the adults of Garden of Knowledge, who had been engaged by the municipality of Vila Verde. Most of these people were gipsies, and they all were, for various reasons, socially excluded. The main aim of this project was the promotion of life-long education and the increase of selfesteem. Adult Education is a need in today’s society, once this changes continuously. Because of the demands of the contemporary society, the populations need to get answers, otherwise they will be excluded socially. Life-long education can take place both within as well as outside the formal education system, it can happen at home, at school or in the community. This project has connected Adult Education with Community Intervention, included thus methodologically in participative investigation-action, once it targeted from the very beginning on the participative transformation of adults, always respecting their personal dimension as well as their community dimension. Garden Knowledge tries to use work as an integration tool and it has available all the time a multidisciplinary team that focuses on the different dimensions of human knowledge.
