Título: | Máquinas de fazer Paisagem: infraestruturas dissimuladas na “Terra Quente Transmontana”: identificação, propósito, desenho |
Autor(es): | Sousa, João Pedro Nunes |
Orientador(es): | Ferreira, Francisco Manuel Gomes Costa |
Data: | 2016 |
This research work aims to look into the notions of Territory and Landscape and is based on the decomposition and revelation of certain artificial structures hidden in the organic environment located in the region of “Terra Quente Transmontana”, between the city of Mirandela and the Serra de Bornes. It’s an effort to clarify the Landscape image within the object sample, understanding it as a visual product of the interaction between the processes that inhabit and interact in the support that is the Territory. Given this relationship between a particular Landscape (Image) and a specific Territory (Support) it is important to recognize these artificial elements scattered in the object sample as an active participant in the construction process of such a composition. This exercise of clarity becomes a result from a view of the territory that decomposes the processes that inhabit the sample at a close scale and acts as a tool for understanding the logistics of the territory as an organic whole. This view of the territory is brought forward from a process of decal that reveals the artificial structures hidden in this organic environment and encodes them, enhancing their artificiality in order to clarify its action in the construction process of the landscape. Thus, throughout this work it’s intended to deepen the understanding of the relationship between nature and the artificial, and between the organic and the mechanical, through the revealing and representation of the artificial functioning process of the found structures in order to understand how the interaction between these elements may contribute to the functioning and appearance of this Territory. |
