A estética audiovisual: o caso do Canal 180

Abstract

O presente Relatório de Estágio analisa a experiência e o conhecimento adquirido num período de três meses de trabalho no Canal 180. Como o estágio assentou maioritariamente na edição e pós-produção de conteúdos, grande parte do relatório centra-se nesta corrente audiovisual, explicando o potencial visual do Canal e o respetivo impacto na apresentação de conteúdos culturais. Para melhor esclarecer e elaborar esta problemática, bem como procurar compreender o porquê do Canal apostar numa estética particular para os conteúdos produzidos, editados e pós-produzidos, foram realizadas entrevistas á coordenadora editorial Rita Moreira (que foi igualmente a orientadora no estágio) e á ex-estagiária e colaboradora de longa data Mónica Dias, bem como uma análise de conteúdos audiovisuais e de alguns dados analíticos associados a esses conteúdos. Neste relatório abordam-se conceitos como o canal cultural, a estética televisiva, o modelo de codificação/descodificação, e apresenta de forma sucinta a história do Canal e a experiência do estágio. No decurso da análise de conteúdos audiovisuais, foram explorados vários elementos estéticos, tais como a cor, a iluminação ou o som. Desta forma, foi possível explorar não só a estética audiovisual do Canal, mas também dar a conhecer os seus objetivos e a sua evolução.

The following internship report shows the knowledge acquired during a period of three months while working at Canal 180. Since the internship was mostly focused on the edition and post-production of contents, a major part of the report is centered on this audio-visual aspect, by explaining the visual potential of the channel and the respective impact in the presentation of cultural contents. In order to better clarify and elaborate on this issue, as well as to understand why the channel invests in a particular aesthetic for the contents which were subject to production, editing and post-production, interviews were conducted with the editorial coordinator, Rita Moreira, and former intern and long-time collaborator Mónica Dias, as well as an analysis of content and some analytical data associated with the contents which were chosen for said analysis. Within this exploration of the issue, there is an approach towards concepts such as the cultural channel or the television aesthetic, as well as a succinct presentation of the history of the channel and the experience of the internship. By taking into account aesthetic elements such as colour, light and sound, an analysis of some video content was performed. This way, it was possible to analyze not only the audiovisual aesthetic of the channel, but also the objectives and evolution of the Canal 180.
