O estudo da aplicação de acabamentos funcionais de barreira UV em fibras previamente ativadas por plasma

Abstract

Atualmente, a preocupação com as condições climáticas, a transmissão de raios ultravioletas e a proteção UV torna-se, cada vez mais, um tema transversal ao universo académico através de debates, projetos e pesquisas. A radiação ultravioleta - RUV, em contato com a pele humana pode desencadear o cancro de pele para muitos trabalhadores que exercem suas atividades laborais em ambientes externos. Assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo geral desenvolver um produto funcional para o segmento dos uniformes profissionais utilizando acabamentos funcionais com barreira UV. No âmbito desta tese, tencionou-se desenvolver uma base comparativa do acabamento funcional nos tecidos com e sem ativação superficial pelo tratamento plasmático. Desta forma, as estratégias experimentais desta investigação tencionaram desenvolver, testar e analisar alguns acabamentos têxteis a partir de dois produtos nanofuncionais, microcápsulas e tingimentos com a utilização de corantes dispersos e reativos. As análises atestaram que todos os procedimentos utilizados promoveram a barreira UV nos substratos têxteis de diferentes composições, fios, massa de unidade de superfície, estruturas e cores. A avaliação dos resultados obtidos foi proporcionada com a utilização de um programa estatístico a partir do software MatLab R2014a®. Contudo, pretende-se que o resultado desta pesquisa possa contribuir para o cenário da construção de novas estratégias para garantir a proteção UV em tecidos destinados ao segmento dos uniformes profissionais, e que também possa servir para todos os outros segmentos têxteis, na medida em que a proteção contra os raios UVA e UVB deve ser passível de ser alcançada por toda a população mundial.

Currently, the concern about the climatic conditions, the transmission of ultraviolet rays and the UV protection are becoming, gradually more, a theme transversal to the scholarship universe through debates, projects and researches. The ultraviolet radiation – UVR, in contact with the human skin may trigger the skin cancer for many workers that perform their labour activities in external environments. Therefore, this work had as general aim to develop a functional product to the field of the professional uniforms by using functional finishes with UV barrier. In the field of this thesis, it was intended to develop a comparative basis of the functional finishes in the cloths with or without superficial activation through the plasmatic treatment. In this way, the experimental strategies of this investigation intended to develop, test and analyse some textile finishes from two nanofunctional products, microcapsules and dyes with the utilization of disperse and reactive colorants. The analysis attested that all the procedures used have promoted the UV barrier in the textile substrate of different compositions, threads, mass unit of surface, structures and colours. The evaluation of the results achieved was provided through the utilization of a statistic program from the software MatLab R2014a. However, it is intended that the result of this research may contribute to the scenario of the construction of new strategies in order to guarantee the UV protection in clothes directed to the field of the professional uniforms, and that it may also be useful to all the other textile segments, since that the protection against the UVA and UVB rays must be able to be easily reached by all world population.
