A importância da aprendizagem cooperativa no ensino das Ciências

Abstract

O estudo que se segue foi realizado no âmbito da unidade curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (PES) do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º e do 2.º Ciclos do Ensino Básico da Universidade do Minho. Este relatório de final de estágio expôem o estudo acerca da temática Aprendizagem Cooperativa. O estudo teve como amostra duas turmas, uma do 2.º ano de escolaridade e outra do 5.º ano de escolaridade, do 1.º e 2.º Ciclos respetivamente, no ano lecivo 2012/2013, localizadas no distrito de Braga. A metodologia implementada nesta investigação foi a aprendizagem cooperativa, tendo em conta todos os objetivos determinados: promover a oportunidade de construir o conhecimento coletivamente; desenvolver o respeito mútuo, o respeito pela opinião dos outros e o sentido colaborativo; promover o espírito crítico; e, realizar tarefas de modo autónomo e responsável. Todos estes objetivos serão integrados com as estratégias implementadas. Para que a recolha de dados permitisse alcançar os objetivos foram necessários instrumentos: trabalhos de grupos e um teste diagnóstico realizado aos alunos. Posto isto, todos os dados recolhidos durante todo o processo foram minuciosamente analisados considerando o uso de base teórica, embora a existência de limitações, este estudo mostrou o quanto é vantajoso é a aprendizagem cooperativa no ensino básico, neste caso na área das Ciências. Logo, torna-se importante promover e aplicar a aprendizagens significativas considerando a implementação da aprendizagem cooperativa e de outras metodologias.

The following survey was conducted within the course of Supervised Teaching Practice (STP) of the master’s degree in Basic Teaching of the 1st and 2nd Primary School of the University of Minho. This final internship report exposes a study on the theme Cooperative Learning. The study had, as a sample, two classes: one in the 2nd grade and another in the 5th grade, belonging to the 1.st and 2.nd Cycles respectively, in the academic year 2012/2013, located in the district of Braga. The methodology implemented in this research was cooperative learning, taking into account all the stated objectives: to promote the opportunity to collectively construct knowledge, develop mutual respect, respect for others' opinions and collaborative sense, promote critical spirit, and conduct tasks independently and responsibly. All these goals will be integrated with the implemented strategies. To allow the collection of data to reach its objectives, instruments were necessary: group work and a diagnostic test to students. That said, all the data collected throughout the process were thoroughly analyzed considering the use of theoretical basis, although the existence of limitations, this study showed how advantageous cooperative learning is in basic education, in this case in the area of Science. So it is important to promote and apply meaningful learning considering the implementation of cooperative learning and other methodologies.
