#azulejo_urbano: desenho de um kit para participação coletiva na (re)valorização do Azulejo Português

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta-se como um projeto interativo e colaborativo, de valorização e difusão do Azulejo Secular Português. Baseado numa ideia de ‘missão cultural’ tem como objetivos alertar para a preservação e promover a (re)valorização deste património, com foco para as fachadas urbanas do século XIX. De forma a aliar o espaço físico ao digital, pretendeu-se a exploração de uma atividade artística e de caracter lúdico, assente na manipulação de objetos concretos em consonância com os dispositivos móveis e as plataformas online. É lançado o convite à participação no ‘restauro’ virtual de fachadas degradadas. Para tal, os participantes têm a possibilidade de realizar uma pintura manual de um desenho-azulejo previamente concebido, disponível em um Kit. Neste sentido, o conceito Do It Yourself surge como inspiração para dar forma ao objeto físico. #azulejo_urbano pretende propor-se, assim, como um lugar de participação online, onde a partilha coletiva ganha forma e registo, através de contribuições de expressão individual e pessoal. Aliando conceitos como identidade e memória coletiva e com atuação entre a Arte e a Tecnologia, esta experiência possibilita uma abordagem sobre as práticas artísticas contemporâneas e os seus espaços (híbridos) de intervenção.

This work is presented as an interactive and collaborative project for the enhancement and dissemination of the Portuguese Secular Tile. Based on an idea of ‘cultural mission’, its goals are to draw attention to the preservation and to promote the (re)enhancement of this heritage, focusing on the urban façades of the 19th century. So as to combine the physical and digital spaces, it was intended to explore an activity with both an artistic and recreational character, centred on the manipulation of concrete objects in consonance with mobile devices and online platforms. An invitation is send out to the participation in the virtual ‘reform´ of degraded façades. In order to do that, the participants can make a manual painting of a previously conceived tile-drawing, available in a KIT. In this sense, the Do It Yourself concept appears as an inspiration to shape the physical object. #azulejo_urbano thus intends to present itself as a space for online participation, where the collective sharing takes on shape and register through the contributions of individual and personal expressions. Combining concepts such as identity and collective memory and performance between Art and Technology, this experience allows for an approach to the contemporary artistic practices and their intervention (hybrid) spaces.
