Abstract(s)Traveling waves arising in detonation physics are described by the reactive Euler equations obtained in the fluid dynamical limit of the Boltzmann equation for a binary reactive mixture. The hydrodynamic linear stability of the detonation wave solution is investigated with a normal mode analysis. Numerical simulations are performed for both the detonation wave solution and its linear stability.
