Abstract(s)Data quality issues of performance measures in the area of Safety and Health at Work are ex-plored based on a set of uncertainty components previously proposed. A case study protocol is developed to ascertain the quality of such performance measures. Results provided by three case studies show that respon-dents have the perception that the performance measures used in companies are affected by the suggested un-certainty components. The results can lead to a revision of the existing data collection methods to reduce the uncertainty of such indicators. The characterization of data uncertainty can also be considered as a risk indica-tor of decisions based on these indicators. This work is part of a bigger project that aims to represent and re-duce uncertainty in performance measurement systems.
