‘trovou-a’, ... a minha mãe berra-me,... os meus pais não me deixam ver televisão...».
Beginning in 2000, the main focus of the current Case Study is to act in primary prevention non-school contexts, in northern Portugal, by providing psychoeducation care: The process of educating clients about therapy and research findings pertaining to their problems or disorders Pursuing that goal, we have been listening children, individually, living harder realities. We conceived as a script (frame), an happy event and approximately 90 girls, within the ages of 5 to 10, wrote “I’m happy when… I receive gifts, ... it’s my birthday,... it’s Christmas, ... my family is all together,... my father comes back from France”; “some times I get sad because … it rains a lot, ... it thunders,... my mother scream at me,... my parents don’t allow me to watch TV (…)” The main objective was to create conditions to revert the negative experience, knowing that, according to the literature on the cerebral lateralization, the generator of imagery is situated in the rear left hemisphere of the brain. We chose to question visualisations and mental images in childhood, based on the perception and in the intersubjective heterogeneous memory. Experimental strategies were used for mental images with two goals: (1) to activate connected emotions experiences to cognitions; and (2) to repair bad moments. We know from the basic neuropsychological conception that emotions are “cognitive” (for the CNS), yet aren’t “cognitive responses”, from what we can learn how to create emotions over physiological reactions. We intend to present new data on coping strategies, once the scripts, scenarios and stereotypes are subject to debate, by age, gender and social-economical stratification: party scenarios, baptisms and weddings, as well as punishments and aggressions by adults, loneliness and negligence, not focusing the central experience on the school.por
